FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For several reasons. First of all, frosted, defective headlights detract from the car's overall appearance and make it look dated. Even more importantly, they impair visibility and distort the light beam, making the road very unsafe. Of course, headlights also need to be polished due to car inspection requirements. Polishing is an excellent alternative to replacing a headlamp.
Polishing the lights restores light transmission, improves visibility and makes the lights look much more aesthetically pleasing and like new.
We apply protective coatings to headlights to keep them in their natural state for longer. If protected with a protective film, this protects against possible damage (minor scratches, pebble dings, acid rain, bird droppings, bugs, UV radiation from the sun, vandalism)
Depending on the damage, the lights can be refurbished by sanding and polishing, or by polishing only. Initially, the lights are abraded with a 3-step abrasive. After the abrasive blasting, we carry out a 2-3 step polishing. We always protect the lights with a Ceramic/Nano coating. Additionally we can protect them with a protective film. This method of protection is probably the most reliable.
The clear headlamp protective film blocks less than 0.1% of light emitted by your headlamps. You'll never see a difference in your vehicle's lighting.
Yes, some car manufacturers apply a protective coating to headlights. But if the headlights are already yellowed, the factory protection is definitely gone. In all cases, even if they are new, it is the best extra protection for your headlights.
